SAHLAB, Sahlep, Salop or Saloop

It is a white flour powder obtained from grinding the dried tubers of various wild dried orchid species. The popularity of sahlab comes from the ancient Romans and Egyptians age when they used to make drinks from ground orchid bulbs.
In Turkey the beverage salep is something referred to as hot or cold creamy delight drink In Lebanon and surrounding region, salab is used as dessert pudding and main element in ice cream.
Our Sahlab is made of 100% natural ingredients; the main one is the white flour, which gives sahlab its thick characteristics and subtle flavor.
