Recipe of the Month: FALAFEL (Vegetarian Recipe)
Ingredient
. SHP Falafel Mix Sachet
. Cup of Water
. Cup of Vegetable Oil
. Fresh Vegetables: Finely chopped (Tomatoes (400 ml), Parsley(400 ml), Mint (200 ml)), minced onions (250 ml)
. Pickles: Turnip Pickles, Cucumber/Wild cucumber Pickles, Green Pepper Pickles (optional)
. Tahina sauce (sesame pate): 3 tbsp tahina + 3 tbsp lemon juice + � tbsp salt + � tbsp garlic powder (optional)
1- Mix 1 cup Falafel Powder with � cup water.
Leave covered for 2 hours.
2- Wet hands and form patties of 1 heaped table spoon each
3- Deep fry for 1 minute in very hot vegetable oil, reduce to low heat 3-4 minutes turning patties once until golden brown
4- Serve with tahina sauce, pickles and fresh vegetables
