Preparation:
Used in cake decoration, topping and / or preparation.
Plain Icing:
In a bowl, mix 1 cup of icing sugar, add 1 tablespoon of milk and ½ teaspoon of vanilla sugar.
Mix thoroughly. Add more milk 1 teaspoon at a time until reaching desired consistency(Icing can be done thin to drizzle over a cake OR thicker for knife or spatula application)
For Chocolate Icing, just add 1/3 cup of unsweetened cacao to the icing sugar before adding the milk
Frosting:
In a bowl or in an electric mixer, mix 4 cups of icing sugar, 250g butter, 2 tablespoon of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla pure/essence.
Mix thoroughly. Add the milk and whip the mixture until fluffy.
For Chocolate frosting, just add 1/2 cup of unsweetened cacao and a little extra milk to the recipe.
