Bicarbonate of Soda


For Dipping:

Mix 100g Zaa’tar Mix + 100ml. Olive Oil and stir well before serving

For Spreading / Stuffing (Manakish / Croissant filling Type)

Mix 100g Zaa’tar Mix + 50ml. Olive Oil + 50ml of vegetable oil and stir well before serving

For Seasoning:

Sprinkled on top of pizza pies

Used in cooking as leavening, raising agent bread and cakes recipes that includes acidic ingredient such as lemon juice, yogurt, buttermilk or chocolate combined with moisture, to create air bubbles which cause food to rise when cooked.

Refer always to specific amount in the recipe, adding extra bicarbonate can result in collapsed cake or strong unpleasant flavor.
